So it's a very strong red card for Putin. And as you know, you can't simply take a red card back.

The unbearable suffering in Gaza is a scar on our collective conscience.

It's completely unacceptable that innocent Palestinians, including children, continue to be killed.

We've got to do more to put pressure on the Israeli government.

I know many people feel that at the start of Israel’s military action in Gaza, my Party didn’t get it right and I am sorry about that.

The response has too often not been good enough. We need to do better.

Yes, we have taken some important steps. These include recognising the Palestinian state, placing sanctions on Israeli ministers, and imposing waves of sanctions on violent settlers and the organisations that support them.

I also fully support the restrictions on arms licenses to make sure that no British bombs or bullets can be used by the IDF in Gaza or in the West Bank.

But let's be honest, we must do more.

UK's Andy Burnham:

Israel continues to violate the ceasefire agreement, killing innocent Palestinians.

We're seeing a surge in settler violence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem and the continued expansion of illegal settlements displacing Palestinian communities.

And Netanyahu's government is clearly attempting to make a two-state solution impossible.

That's why we need to do more, which includes looking at further sanctions both on those involved in the violence in Gaza, but also looking at measures to ban trade in goods with illegal settlements.

I, like many people, feel passionately about Gaza and I will do everything I can to work with international partners to stop the suffering, to ensure the Israeli government adheres to international law, and to keep the prospect of a two-state solution alive, because this is the only way to lasting peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.

UK's Andy Burnham:

I have been absolutely appalled by what I've seen and read about the destruction of Gaza.

There's increasing evidence that war crimes appear to have been committed.

There must be accountability for the depth of the suffering the people of Gaza have experienced.

Ultimately, however, it must be for the international courts to determine, rather than politicians.

There is no contradiction between a zero-tolerance approach to antisemitism and holding the Netanyahu government to account.

You are fueling fear of war and using it as a blank check to cast aside the last restraints on borrowing under the pretext of spending for security.

You are driving defense spending to astronomical heights, without making Germany any safer as a result.

Instead, you are building a state-directed and state-financed arms industry as a replacement for the real industry that your policies have destroyed.

An arms industry whose products you then give away to Ukraine.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir:

A young Bedouin man told me, "You destroyed my three houses."

I said to him, "Young man, learn the law. The law is the law. Governance is governance."

Canadian PM Mark Carney:

Canada has always cared deeply about the Middle East. Canada has, since—well, since 1948 actually—supported a two-state solution.

I'll give the example of the two countries that I've been to on this trip. Two of the most influential countries with respect to potential solutions there are Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

We need to engage with these countries. We need to be speaking with them. We need to work with them.

I was the first prime minister to speak to President Erdogan in over a decade.

Canadian PM Mark Carney:

At the summit, I met with President Erdogan where we agreed to launch negotiations on a new free trade agreement with Türkiye, a trade agreement that can unlock billions in trade between our two countries.

We signed new defense contracts that will grow our industrial base and jobs at home in Canada.

Q: If a conflict were to happen between Türkiye and Israel in Syria for example, does that trigger Article 5?

NATO's Rutte: President Erdogan is an extremely wise president.

He has been there for years in this role, and he will avoid getting into a situation that gets out of hand.

Q: What if Netanyahu makes a conflict unavoidable?

Rutte: Let's not speculate on what could happen. Let's not forget October 7, 2023. The terrible attack by Hamas on Israel.

When it comes to being ready, it is of course about military mobility—that a tank can move from the Netherlands through Germany to Poland.

It's also about making sure that that tank is actually filled up so it can drive.

And that means you need the output from refining capacity.

We are closing more refineries in Europe than opening.

We are getting better. But one of the ways to deal with this is indeed to make maximum use of the transatlantic defense industrial base.

That means companies from France and companies from Türkiye investing in the defense industrial base in the United States, but also the United States saying, "How can we co-produce with our partners in Europe?"

In the coming days, Ukraine will receive a PAC-3 package from the United States.

Separate agreements were also reached with European partners.

The number of countries that want to see Ukraine join NATO has increased.

Everyone respects our army, everyone respects our country, everyone respects our technology companies.

They would like to become stronger with Ukraine as part of the Alliance.

Turkish President Erdogan:

I believe that the constructive and productive discussions we held with U.S. President Donald Trump will lead to concrete outcomes that meet our country's expectations in the defense industry, particularly with regard to our national fighter aircraft, KAAN, and the F-35 program.

Argentina's President Milei is pleased with Netanyahu's statement.

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis admits:

I don't think we do justice to the the importance of the decisions taken at the summit when we just limit the public debate in Greece around, you know, issues related to the Greek-Turkish relationship.

When we have issues to discuss with Türkiye, we discuss them amongst ourselves and, you know, sometimes in Greece I think we take a very narrow-minded approach when it comes to these broader issues.

I'm always sort of surprised by how part of the Greek media reports on these on these issues with a great degree of exaggeration and an inability to really understand the complex dynamics that that we're facing.
