Europe is facing a housing crisis.

We aim to launch a European housing alliance, and we will convene a high-level European housing summit.

The continued expansion of Israeli settlements in the West Bank is utterly unacceptable.

The violence used to achieve this expansion is abhorrent.

This undermines the future of the two-state solution, which in our view remains the only viable path to lasting peace.

Ten months ago, the Commission proposed suspending trade preferences under the EU–Israel Association Agreement.

This proposal would have a significant economic impact, but it remains on the table for the Member States to vote on by qualified majority.

The ball is therefore in the court of the Member States. We made this proposal ten months ago.

Last month, we agreed on sanctions against extremist Israeli settlers. A number of Member States have proposed sanctions against Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir as well.

So far, however, no consensus has been reached.

The more strikes the enemy attempts to carry out against civilian facilities in Russia, the larger the security zone we will have to create in the adjacent territory.

Thousands of years, if you look at it, under different names, under somewhat different ideologies and systems, that system has led to more death and destruction than any system ever tried.

Greek PM Kyriakos Mitsotakis says Athens does not foresee a military conflict with Türkiye:

Under no circumstances do we foresee war. We have a duty to prepare and strengthen our deterrent capability so that it never crosses anyone's mind to challenge Greek sovereignty.

That does not mean we expect war or believe it is likely. At the same time, communication channels must remain open. Crises should be managed and defused at their inception, and wherever we can make our relationship with Türkiye more functional, we should seize those opportunities.

We are condemned by our geography to live together peacefully, even with our differences. I will always negotiate with Türkiye from the strongest possible position.
