Israeli security agencies arrested a Tajik national with a Russian passport, alleging he worked for Iranian intelligence.

Prosecutors say he gathered and sent intelligence during the 2026 conflict, including missile impact sites, the location of the Azrieli Towers, photos of Haifa Port, and attempted surveillance of a sensitive military facility in northern Israel.

Saleem Al-Ashqar, a Palestinian goalkeeper, was killed in Gaza earlier this week after coming under Israeli army fire.

He had married five months earlier, and his wife is expecting their first child.
