Kyiv will pay for its crimes in the Kursk region with the loss of territory needed for a security zone.

Putin:

Proposals are coming from Kyiv to limit military operations to just four territories (the Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions).

That would allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to redeploy units there from other fronts.

It would be a lifeline for Kyiv amid its shortage of personnel. But saving the Kyiv regime is not part of our plans.

Janeese Lewis George, the Communist who is almost certainly going to be elected Mayor of Washington, D.C., has stated that she wants to empty the prisons, make D.C. a Sanctuary City, oppose ICE, welcome Criminal Illegal Aliens back into our beloved Capital, resist Anti-Crime Crackdowns, Defund the Police, continue and expand Cashless Bail, and so many other Capital destroying โ€œthings.โ€

In the end, it will never work out, nor will I let it even have a chance because I have worked too hard to make Washington, D.C., the Envy of the World, with almost No Crime, and a Beautification process that has been second to none.

I will meet with Janeese Lewis George, but must forewarn everyone that Washington, D.C., is again a Safe and Prestigious Community. Many people, including myself, have worked long and hard to get it there, and we will not let it be destroyed by a Communist adherent who has no intention to, MAKE WASHINGTON GREAT AGAIN!

The White House is concerned Britain will not deliver on its pledge to raise defense spending to 5% of GDP, with officials warning some European allies made a "false promise" to satisfy Trump.

The concerns come as Andy Burnham prepares to succeed Keir Starmer as prime minister.

Although Burnham has signalled he supports higher defense spending, the government's upcoming defense plan is expected to delay setting a date for reaching 3% of GDP.

When the U.S. and Israel struck Iran in February, Israeli leaders believed the alliance had entered a new golden era. Four months later, they are preparing for a future in which Israel may have to stand more on its own.

JD Vance has become the public face of that shift, warning that Israel has few allies left and should not alienate the United States.

But officials on both sides say the real change is broader: under Trump's "America First" approach, Israel is no longer treated as a special exception.

Relations have cooled, with fewer high-level meetings and growing disagreements over Iran and Lebanon.

While Israel has often viewed Vance as an outlier, his growing influence suggests his views increasingly reflect the administration's direction.

Israeli officials still value Trump's support and hope tensions are temporary, but many now recognize that Washington's priorities are changing.

Axios:

The Republican Party is beginning to turn on Israel.

After years of strong GOP support, Israel's war in Gaza and Netanyahu's strained relationship with President Trump have fueled growing skepticism, particularly among younger Republicans and "America First" conservatives.

Polls show support for Israel is declining within the party, even as most Republican leaders and evangelical voters remain firmly pro-Israel.

If this trend continues, it could weaken one of Israel's most reliable sources of political support in the United States.

Putin:

"The Spirit of Anchorage" was never formalized in any official documents.

No one signed anything, but we discussed certain possibilities for ending the conflict in Ukraine, as well as the compromises under consideration.

Those compromises were precisely the proposals that the American side presented to us. We were asked to make concessions formulated by the U.S. negotiators.

We agreed to make those concessions.

BREAKING: The U.S. and Iran have agreed to halt military strikes and will meet Tuesday in Doha, Qatar, to resolve tensions over the Strait of Hormuz, according to U.S. officials.

The talks, originally intended to focus on Iran's nuclear program, will instead center on ensuring safe commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

Officials also plan to discuss implementing a direct military hotline between the U.S. and Iran to prevent future incidents.

The UK will replace plans for Type 83 destroyers and Type 32 frigates with at least six hybrid "common combat vessels" designed to operate aerial and underwater drones.

The move reflects a shift toward autonomous warfare, with the new ships expected to enter service in the early 2030s.

The Belgium-based Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a complaint with the US Justice Department accusing Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir of overseeing a system of torture, abuse, and killings targeting Palestinians, including US citizens.

The group alleges that under Ben-Gvir's leadership, Israeli prisons became sites of starvation, medical neglect, sexual violence, and other abuses that left at least 46 Palestinians dead between October 2023 and August 2025.

The foundation also argues that Ben-Gvir's policies and public statements reflect genocidal intent toward Palestinians and calls on US authorities to investigate him, prevent him from leaving the country during the probe, and uphold their obligations under the Geneva Conventions.

Prof. John Mearsheimer:

On June 17th, President Trump signs the memorandum of understanding, which is a surrender document. That basically means that the blockade didn't work.

Because if the blockade had worked, he wouldn't have signed a surrender document. He signed it because the blockade didn't work.

So, here we are. We've tried air power. It didn't work. And nobody's talking about going back to that. We tried a blockade or naval power. That didn't work, which again is why we signed the memorandum of understanding.

The third option is land power, and I have not heard anybody make a serious argument that we should put boots on the ground.
