I mean, what is the MAGA movement? Trump has defined it as whatever he wants. Well, that's not a movement.

I never understood what it was. I never believed in MAGA. I believe in making America great again. I certainly believe in its literal definition, but its operational definition was never clear.

Straits of Hormuz are international waters. International waterways do not belong to any nation-state. This is a foundational principle in the world today, without which the world would be in total chaos.

If, in fact, we accept that you can charge money to use an international waterway because it happens to be near your territorial space, well then this would spread throughout the world like a contagion.

If, in fact, there is now a strait that one country can, or two countries can, or whatever any countries decide they want to charge money for its use, what is going to stop every country in the world near a waterway from imposing the same?

And then we're going to have chaos. So that is unacceptable.

You can call it a toll, you can call it a fee, whatever you want to call it—it's a game of semantics.

The reality of it is that no country on earth has a right to charge for the use of international waterways.

And that will never be an acceptable condition of any deal. The President's been fundamentally clear about that.

Gdańsk was almost completely destroyed in its historic center. It was here that the greatest tragedy of modern Europe and the world—World War II—began, with all its tragic consequences. Just a few hundred meters from here, the first shots of World War II were fired.

Those of you who had the opportunity to walk through Gdańsk yesterday, and those who will join me today, can see what the miracle of reconstruction truly means.

I invited you, and our Ukrainian friends, to this place because it shows that the miracle of rebuilding happens when people truly desire it, when they are able to win peace, and when they are determined to do good.

Gdańsk rose from the ruins and became one of the world's finest examples of reconstruction—not only architecturally, but spiritually as well. The spirit of the city was restored. A similar great effort now awaits Ukraine.

All of us here—and all of Poland, Ukraine, and Europe—believe that Ukraine will withstand Russian aggression, and that our plans to rebuild Ukraine are not an illusion.

When we say, "Together we will rebuild Ukraine's destroyed cities after the war," we say it because we believe there will be a post-war future, that it will come soon, and that it is possible thanks to our solidarity.

Who could have imagined that after World War II Germans and French, Germans and Poles, Britons and Germans would one day build the future together?
