Ukrainian drone-maker Alexander Kokhanovskyy says a one-off test two years ago used 10 fully autonomous AI "Terminator" drones near Bakhmut/Chasiv Yar, with no human controlling targeting.

Confirmed casualties included a couple of soldiers and a truck.

Ukraine currently bans full autonomy at the final targeting stage, but the government is reportedly discussing loosening that rule.

Brazil’s Supreme Court convicted Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of former President Jair Bolsonaro, and sentenced him to 4 years and 2 months in prison.

The court found that he improperly lobbied U.S. officials to pressure Brazilian authorities and interfere with the legal proceedings against his father, who was previously sentenced to 27 years in prison for a coup attempt.

Eduardo’s lawyers argue there was insufficient evidence for a conviction.

He has been living in Texas since 2025 and is currently involved in his brother Flávio Bolsonaro’s presidential campaign ahead of Brazil’s upcoming elections.

France is exploring a defence partnership with the UAE on the next-generation Rafale fighter after Germany effectively abandoned the joint Franco-German FCAS fighter program.

The UAE, which already operates Rafales, could help fund development of the Rafale F5 upgrade and commit to future purchases, giving France an alternative path for developing future combat aircraft.

US officials are urging caution about the Iran agreement’s text, describing the 1.5-page MOU as a vague “political document” that omits key back-channel commitments from Tehran.

“People shouldn’t read too much into the language of the MOU,” one official said.

“What’s more important than the actual document is the understandings we have with each other.”

The US Defense Department announced that the US Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) will revert to its former name, the US Pacific Command (USPACOM).

Originally established in 1947, the command operated as USPACOM until it was renamed in 2018.

The change does not affect the command’s mission, responsibilities, or geographic area, which spans from the US West Coast to India’s western border.
