Rep. Thomas Massie marked the 59th anniversary of Israel's 1967 attack on the USS Liberty with a House floor speech honoring survivors in attendance.

Massie cited former officials who disputed the "mistaken identity" explanation, called it possibly intentional, and pushed for a congressional investigation while survivors are still alive.

Israel has long maintained the attack was accidental and compensated the US.

Tirana's main boulevard was decked with Israeli flags ahead of "Israel Cultural Week".

The display sparked instant backlash from Albanians angry over Gaza and Rama's perceived alignment with Israel — with threats to burn the flags.

Authorities reportedly pulled them down within hours to defuse tensions.

Israel initially prepared a major wave of strikes on Iran, but after another call Trump warned Netanyahu, "Bibi, you better be careful, or you will be on your own very soon." Netanyahu ultimately agreed to stand down if Iran also stopped attacking.

Trump on Iran:

I don't think there are any sticking points. I think we're very close to having a very, very good strong powerful deal.

Trump on Iran:

If we go and bomb, which we can do very easily if we want, and we spend another two or three weeks bombing, they'll have nothing left whatsoever.

But you won't have the strait open for months. Uh, if we do the bombing, you know, a lot of people are going to be killed. Who wants to do that? I don't.

And we'll get—we'll have a signed document that's actually stronger than doing the bombing.

Trump:

It was certainly amazing. It was, I think, mostly cheers. It was loud and it was very enthusiastic.

Reporter: Did you ask Netanyahu not to hit back?

Trump: No, I said do what's right, but I want you to stop as quickly as you can because they have to stop.

It had to do with Lebanon and it has to stop. We want to get it finished.

Trump on Iran:

You're really going to win it over the next two weeks when we declare total victory.

It'll be a total victory. It'll happen very soon.

Trump:

You remember Venezuela just a short time ago, a one-day war.

We took it over and the relationship's been very good and we've taken billions and billions of dollars worth of oil.

We paid for the cost of that war many times over.

JD Vance admits:

The Israelis and the United States have a lot of shared interests, but we also have some situations where our interests diverge.

The U.S. Pentagon has expanded its list of Chinese companies it believes are linked to or support China's military, adding major firms such as Alibaba, Baidu, BYD, and Nio.

While inclusion on the list does not amount to sanctions, it carries significant consequences.

Under U.S. law, the Defense Department will soon be prohibited from purchasing products or services from these companies, either directly or through third parties.

A hidden camera was discovered in a UK government building in Whitehall, London.

The find raised espionage concerns because officials there had worked on approving China's new London embassy.

Security services are investigating who placed the device and whether any information was collected.

There is no evidence so far that China, Russia, or any other country was involved.
