This follows an October 2025 letter of intent and could eventually cover 100–150 aircraft total.

The Gripen’s ability to operate from highways and short strips makes it especially valuable given Russian strikes on Ukrainian air bases.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard released footage showing the launch of missiles toward the U.S. base in Kuwait, describing it as retaliation for the American attack near Bandar Abbas in southern Iran.

The video also featured symbolic anti-U.S. imagery.

WATCH: Russia is airlifting Pantsir-S1 air defense systems onto Moscow skyscraper rooftops using Mi-26T heavy-lift helicopters — including a filmed deployment onto the 42-floor Nordstar Tower.

Russia has been expanding this rooftop network since 2023.

The US Embassy immediately denied it and confirmed it’s fully operational.

Kallas was apparently relaying bad information she’d received from Ukrainian sources the day before.

All European embassies are staying too.

Russia had issued threats urging diplomats to leave Kyiv ahead of planned strikes, but no major embassy moved.
