Saab was arrested in Caracas in February during a joint U.S.-Venezuelan operation, shortly after Maduro’s own capture by U.S. forces.

Saab, a Colombian-born businessman, had previously faced U.S. bribery charges after his 2020 arrest in Cape Verde. He was pardoned in 2023 in exchange for the release of detained Americans in Venezuela.

According to my analysis, there’s nothing to suggest that the people in charge now are any different than before — they still want to terrorize the world, destroy Israel, and come after us.

So you weaken them further. What President Trump has done has been amazing militarily. The energy infrastructure is their soft underbelly. Going back to the fight, I put energy on top of the list.

I’m calling to hurt this regime. Hurt them more, maybe they’ll make a deal. But right now I think they’re trying to wait this out and playing games.
