French authorities are investigating an obscure Israeli firm called BlackCore for allegedly running a digital smear campaign against left-wing LFI candidates during France's March 2026 municipal elections.

Three candidates were targeted with fake blogs alleging sexual misconduct, anonymous social media accounts, and coordinated ads.

Meta traced the network back to Israel and removed it.

One candidate withdrew from his race; another lost a close runoff and is asking the court to annul the result.

BlackCore's website and LinkedIn disappeared after Reuters contacted them.

No one has been charged yet, and Israel says it's never heard of the firm.

We think it would be a terrible mistake to force that through force or anything of that nature.

The pace of growth in the Chinese military over the last 10 years has no precedent, none.

They've put billions and billions and billions of dollars in their system. I don't think it's just limited to Taiwan.

I think they have ambitions to ultimately be able to project power globally the way the US does now.

They're still behind us in that regard, but nonetheless, they are investing a lot of money. They are right now the world's 2nd most powerful military without a doubt.

NEW: A flotilla of 54 boats carrying nearly 500 activists from 45 countries set sail from Marmaris, Türkiye today, heading for Gaza.

This is their second attempt.

Israeli forces intercepted the first fleet in late April, detaining activists for up to 10 days.

The convoy regrouped in Türkiye, grew in size, and is now back underway — with Israel already signaling it will intercept again.

The cargo is: rice, flour, infant formula, medicines.
