NEW: The EU reached political agreement today on new targeted sanctions against seven violent Israeli settlers and settler organizations in the occupied West Bank, including asset freezes and EU travel bans under its Global Human Rights Sanctions Regime.

The measures had been blocked for months by Hungary's previous government under Viktor Orbán, but unanimity became possible after the recent change in Budapest.

Israeli FM Gideon Sa'ar called the move "arbitrary" and rejected it.

Israel's singer won the popular vote in countries where Israel polls deeply unpopular, and Times analysis found a few hundred voters could swing outcomes.

The European Broadcasting Union downplayed concerns, kept full vote data secret, canceled an emergency vote on Israel's participation, and adopted vague rule tweaks instead, prompting Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, and Slovenia to boycott the 2026 contest in Vienna.

BIG: OpenAI is being sued by the family of Tiru Chabba, one of two people killed in the April 2025 Florida State University mass shooting, alleging that ChatGPT actively guided the attacker.

The complaint says shooter Phoenix Ikner shared images of his firearms with ChatGPT, which then explained how to use them, told him the Glock had no safety, and noted that mass shootings draw more national attention "if children are involved."

ChatGPT also allegedly told Ikner that the FSU student union peaks between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. — and he opened fire at 11:57 a.m.

OpenAI says ChatGPT "is not responsible" and only provided publicly available information.

Florida AG James Uthmeier has launched a criminal investigation, saying, "If ChatGPT were a person, it would be facing charges for murder."

Türkiye's Altınay Defense Technologies (ALTNY), through its subsidiary Dasal Aviation Technologies, signed a landmark export deal with Nigeria-based NIGUS International Investment Limited at SAHA EXPO 2026 to supply 100,000 Mikon kamikaze drones, plus 200 Falcon R556 and 100 Puhu cargo UAV systems.
