U.S. intelligence says recent fighting has not significantly slowed Iranโs nuclear program.
Officials still estimate Iran would need about 9โ12 months to build a nuclear weapon if it chose to do soโroughly unchanged from last year.
Iranโs stockpile of highly enriched uranium remains largely intact and unaccounted for, which experts say is key to any weapons timeline.

Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi:
Events in Hormuz make clear that there's no military solution to a political crisis.
As talks are making progress with Pakistan's gracious effort, the U.S. should be wary of being dragged back into quagmire by ill-wishers. So should the UAE.
Project Freedom is Project Deadlock.

Iranโs Ghalibaf:
The new equation of the Strait of Hormuz is in the process of being solidified.
The security of shipping and energy transit has been jeopardized by the United States and its allies through the violation of the ceasefire and the imposition of a blockade; of course, their evil will diminish.
We know full well that the continuation of the status quo is intolerable for America; while we have not even begun yet.

Dr. Andreas Krieg | Gulf Security Expert | Institute of Middle Eastern Studies:
Since October 7th, the UAE's PR has been on a downhill slope. Qatar & Saudi Arabia have become dominant in the information domain themselves - the Emirates are no longer on their own.
The UAE is no longer seen as advancing stability. Arming non-state actors & secessionists - most visibly in Sudan - has made them a cause of instability. The atrocities in Sudan were a tipping point.
But rather than backing down, Abu Dhabi doubles down. That's their strategic culture - push through pressure rather than apologize.
Saudi Arabia has shown a learning curve. Qatar has changed under pressure. The UAE hasn't.
They're digging a deeper hole - an echo chamber where Abu Dhabi insists everyone else is wrong, despite most Arabs, Muslims & Western governments.
The narrative now coming out of Abu Dhabi is "we're different, we don't need anyone."
That "us against the world" mentality is very similar to Netanyahu's Israel today.

Zelensky is a tricky guy, and we want to get a settlement. And, you know, they are losing territory, but itโs at a big cost to Russia and to them. And I like Zelensky.
Iโve always sort of gotten along with him, other than the one moment in the White House, which I thought was a little aggressive on his behalf.
