Israel has expanded the restricted military zone in Gaza, according to new maps shared with aid groups, bringing nearly two-thirds of the territory under effective control. The newly marked “orange line” indicates areas where humanitarian organizations must coordinate movements with the Israeli military.

While Israel says the changes are meant to support aid delivery and do not target civilians, many displaced Palestinians fear entering these zones could put them at risk. Aid access has also been reduced due to safety concerns.
