You saw what we did with Venezuela; it will be something very similar to that, but at a higher level.

As I understand it, the UK and a couple of other countries are sending minesweepers.

We have new machinery to kill the drones—the computerized bullets, they call that.

Also lasers melt the drone; it’s a beautiful thing to see.

Trump:

As Bibi Netanyahu said, we’re the big brother and they’re the small brother.

The The New York Times is a fake paper. Just believe the opposite. It’s so sad when you look at CNN, The New York Times, ABC fake news, NBC fake news—it’s so sad to see it.

I was thinking about calling it the Gulf of Trump, and I decided not to do it.

I think that one maybe wouldn't have worked out.

Trump:

The Strait is critical for Japan — they get about 93% of their oil through it. South Korea gets roughly 45%. Yet these countries haven’t really helped us.

I ask them: are you going to help?

We have about 45,000 U.S. troops in Japan and about 50,000 in South Korea. We guard them and protect them.

But when we ask for a little help in return, they don’t help us.

Trump on gas and oil prices:

Eventually, prices will go down. It may not happen immediately, but once this situation is resolved, prices will fall.

If you want to see the stock market collapse, let a couple of nuclear bombs be used — whether against us or anywhere else.

Maria Bartiromo: You said the other day that any country that supports Iran or sends military equipment to Iran would face a 50% tariff on their products. Were you referring to China?

Trump: Yes, China and potentially others. But specifically, yes, China is included.

I’ve heard reports — and I don’t always trust news reports — claiming that China giving shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles. I’m not sure that’s accurate.

I doubt they would do that. Maybe they did a little bit at the beginning.

But if we catch any country, including China, providing military equipment to Iran, they will face a 50% tariff.

Trump on NATO countries:

Could I have forced them to participate? Maybe.

But if they had come in, it would have been grudgingly.

They would have stayed behind.

Trump:

Chinese cars are destroying Europe because they are taking away business from Mercedes and BMW.

We don’t have any Chinese cars in our country.
