The reason Iranians are negotiating is because they’ve sustained a lot of damage.

They want to monetize the Strait of Hormuz and be able to sell their oil.

They trust the leverage they have over Hormuz - not the Americans.

We are speaking about a war that has killed thousands of civilians.

We are spending tens of billions of dollars to kill people. Money that could be making life easier for working people.

The things we’re told are unrealistic would cost a fraction of this war.

We always seem to have money for war, but not to feed the poor.

At the heart of any war is dehumanization. And dehumanization never stays confined to the war.

When you normalize killing abroad, you normalize cruelty at home.

This is the dehumanization we are allowing to spread in our country.

A young Muslim woman was attacked on a subway platform.

Her attacker said, ‘I wonder how many Iranians we killed today.’

Iran holds almost all the cards. They are in a very powerful position.

By closing Hormuz, they can tank the global economy. The leverage is enormous.

They can destroy GCC countries as functioning societies. They can wreck those countries.

Trump can’t climb the escalation ladder. On every rung, Iran can beat him.

Trump is desperate. We are playing a losing hand.

This would destroy far more than a presidency. He knows this.

He threatened extermination — because escalation failed. By evening, he backs off.

He basically says: I concede defeat.

On the day the ceasefire was declared, Israel brutally killed 254 Lebanese people.

The genocidal network, blinded by blood and hatred, continues to kill innocent children, women, and civilians, disregarding all human values and recognizing no rules or principles.

Israel may ultimately use nuclear weapons against Iran.

It is now clear that Israel cannot prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons using its conventional forces.

That option does not work.

The only option they have left is nuclear weapons.

The United States will not stop it.

Isn’t introducing the death penalty only for Palestinian prisoners essentially apartheid? Isn’t it using the law as a tool of racist authoritarianism?

Is there, in essence, any real difference between Hitler’s monstrous policies against Jews and the decision taken by the Israeli parliament with such a sense of triumph?

Aren’t all these actions just another manifestation of denial, destruction, oppression, and political repression directed at the Palestinian people?

Undoubtedly, these actions amount to discrimination and racism. It would mean implementing a system even worse than the apartheid regime that was dismantled in South Africa in 1994.

I don’t think Trump is going to get the deal he wants because he has lost his biggest leverage - the threat of military force.

He threw everything at them, but the regime survived.

Trump is under a level of pressure that most people cannot fathom, with rabid Israel Firsters viciously harassing him any time he dares to stray even slightly from their favorite country’s agenda.

Their shameless pursuit is steadfast enough to make even a man like Donald Trump go mad. They are as persistent as any group in history, no matter how well the White House has treated them in the past.

Trump is facing a level of pressure that is dark enough to make him abandon his campaign promises and morph into the precise kind of politician he once vowed to destroy.

He would not have let that happen unless his personal stakes were really high.

In one meeting he said, “I’ll pardon everyone who has come within 200 feet of the Oval,” later shrinking the joke to “10 feet.”
