Kremlin has reportedly backed a covert online disinformation campaign to help Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán win the April 12 election.

The plan, created by the sanctioned Russian consultancy Social Design Agency, aims to flood Hungarian social media with pro-Orbán messages and attacks on his main rival, Péter Magyar.

The campaign portrays Orbán as a strong, sovereign leader with global allies, while depicting Magyar as a weak “EU puppet.”

It reportedly includes memes, videos, and narratives tailored to look like local Hungarian content and spread by influencers.
