Chevron and Shell are close to signing the first major oil production deals in Venezuela since the U.S. captured President Maduro in January.

Chevron plans to expand production in the Orinoco Belt (Ayacucho 8 area), while Shell is targeting the Carito and Pirital fields in Monagas North.

Venezuela recently changed its oil law to give foreign companies more control over operations and exports.

Kremlin has reportedly backed a covert online disinformation campaign to help Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán win the April 12 election.

The plan, created by the sanctioned Russian consultancy Social Design Agency, aims to flood Hungarian social media with pro-Orbán messages and attacks on his main rival, Péter Magyar.

The campaign portrays Orbán as a strong, sovereign leader with global allies, while depicting Magyar as a weak “EU puppet.”
