An Iraqi reconnaissance convoy sent to investigate was hit by airstrikes, leaving one soldier dead and two wounded.

Iraqi authorities have launched an investigation and have not officially confirmed who carried out the operation.

A government contractor, Joint Technology Solution, is hiring part-time “Personal Effects Specialists” at Dover Air Force Base to handle the belongings of U.S. military and civilian personnel killed or severely injured overseas.

The role includes receiving, inventorying, cleaning, photographing, storing, and shipping personal items to the families or next of kin, and requires the ability to work in emotionally difficult situations.
