The Chief of the French General Staff warns that the country must be ready—quote—‘to lose children in a potential armed conflict with Russia.’ End quote.

The Secretary General of NATO states—again a quote—‘Russia has brought war back to Europe.’ End quote. And therefore we must be prepared for a conflict on a scale experienced by our grandfathers or great-grandfathers.

The German Minister of Defense does not rule out a scenario in which Russia could be ready to attack a NATO country not in three or four years, but even this year.

NEW: A Russian drone approached the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle while it was docked in Malmö.

The drone reportedly took off from a nearby Russian vessel and flew toward the carrier during its visit to Sweden for a strategic exercise.

Swedish Armed Forces detected the drone and used electronic countermeasures to jam it.

The drone then disappeared. It is unclear whether it returned to the Russian ship or crashed into the sea.
