Chad shut its eastern border with Sudan after clashes tied to Sudan’s civil war killed five Chadian soldiers.
Chad says it’s closing the border “until further notice” to stop spillover from Sudan’s conflict and protect civilians and refugees.
More troops are being deployed to the area.
A local analyst warned:
“Whether we like it or not, Chad now appears to be a party to the conflict.”

NEW: Slovak PM Robert Fico has halted emergency electricity supplies to Ukraine starting today, calling it “the first reciprocal step” over the suspension of Russian oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline.
He said:
He said:
“If the Ukrainian side asks Slovakia for assistance in stabilizing its energy grid, such assistance will not be provided.”
Fico warned Slovakia could take further action — including reconsidering support for Ukraine’s EU membership — if oil flows aren’t restored.
“Slovakia has the right to receive oil supplies… we fully reserve the right to take further steps.”

Reza Pahlavi:
Now that the likelihood of an intervention is greater than ever, a limited window of opportunity remains for military and law enforcement commanders—especially army commanders and other officials whose hands are not stained with the blood of the nation—to separate themselves from this criminal regime.
The choice is yours: by joining the people, you can protect yourselves and your families and share in the nation’s victory; or you can tie your fate to the sinking ship of the Islamic Republic and go down with Khamenei and his regime.
As we enter a new phase of the National Cooperation Campaign, I invite you, during the live broadcast of the newly established Iran National Revolution TV, to scan the campaign’s QR code and get in touch with my special team.
Iran’s destiny depends on the decisions we make today. With responsibility and courage, we can write a new chapter in the history of the Iranian nation.

Although you could potentially eliminate the Ayatollah, that would leave the Revolutionary Guard in place, and the government in Iran is the Revolutionary Guard, while the Ayatollahs serve as a religious cover or an ideological cover for them.

Trump, I think, just hopes that this show of American force will intimidate the Ayatollahs. If I were still his advisor, I’d be happy to tell him that isn’t going to work.
They’re not going to be intimidated. But Trump really thinks minute to minute; he doesn’t think strategically.

The U.S. Ambassador to France, Charles Kushner, has been barred from meeting members of the French government after failing to appear at the Foreign Ministry when summoned.
Kushner was called in over comments by the U.S. Embassy regarding the killing of far-right activist Quentin Deranque, who was beaten to death in a clash with alleged hard-left activists. The embassy had warned that “violent radical leftism” was on the rise.
French officials said the case was a domestic matter and accused the embassy of interfering in national debate.
