Rubén “N” was seriously wounded and later died during air transfer, pending official identification.

Two others were arrested, and heavy weapons — including rocket launchers — were seized.

Three soldiers were injured.

The operation was supported by Mexican intelligence agencies and included cooperation with U.S. authorities.

Reinforcements have been deployed to Jalisco.
