Zelensky said it was “not fair” that Trump publicly pressures Ukraine — not Russia — to make concessions.

“I hope it is just his tactics and not the decision.”

Canadian PM Mark Carney on the Golden Dome:

We are exploring the next phase of that defense with the United States, and that could include what’s called the Golden Dome. Those talks are going well. It’s under development.

If it’s in the right interests of Canada — and I think there are certainly many scenarios where it will be in the right interest of Canada — we will be a willing participant.

There are many strengths to this partnership that we have with the United States.

But it is a dependency, and it’s a dependency where we want to change in a positive way by building up our defense capacities here and our other partnerships abroad.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi:

Iran has consistently affirmed that it neither seeks to manufacture nor acquire nuclear weapons.

Nuclear weapons have no place whatsoever in Iran’s national security doctrine.

This position is rooted in our defense policy and reinforced by clear religious prohibitions.

They turn a blind eye to the Israeli regime’s nuclear weapons while portraying Iran’s peaceful program as a threat.

There is no crime it has not committed and no red line it has not crossed.

Canadian PM Mark Carney:

The framework is simple: build, partner, buy.

First, we will build in Canada and prioritize Canadian companies. As a matter of policy, military procurement in areas where we have sovereign capabilities will be directed to Canadian firms first.

Where we can’t build alone, we will partner with like-minded allies, helping to attract investment, transfer intellectual property, and integrate supply chains so that public dollars flow back to Canada and Canadian jobs are created right here.

Only after exhausting those first two options will we buy from abroad. Even then, we will ensure the maximum benefits are returned to Canada throughout the value chain, including through a modernized industrial and technological benefits regime.

Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi:

We are hopeful that these negotiations will lead to a sustainable, negotiated solution that serves the interests of the relevant parties and the broader region.

At the same time, as demonstrated during the aggression of 13 June 2025, Iran remains fully prepared to defend itself against any threat or act of aggression.

The consequences of any attack against Iran will not be confined to its borders.

Canadian PM Mark Carney:

The truth is, over the last few decades, Canada has neither spent enough on our defense nor invested enough in our defense industries.

We’ve relied too heavily on our geography and others to protect us.

This has created vulnerabilities that we can no longer afford and dependencies that we can no longer sustain.

Trump:

Our MASSIVE Trade Deal with Japan has just launched!

Japan is now officially, and financially, moving forward with the FIRST set of Investments under its $550 BILLION Dollar Commitment to invest in the United States of America — part of our Historic Trade Deal to REVITALIZE the American Industrial Base, create HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of GREAT American Jobs, and strengthen our National and Economic Security like never before.

Today, I am pleased to announce three TREMENDOUS Projects in the Strategic Areas of Oil & Gas in the Great State of Texas, Power Generation in the Great State of Ohio, and Critical Minerals in the Great State of Georgia.

The scale of these projects are so large, and could not be done without one very special word, TARIFFS. The Gas Power Plant in Ohio (A State I won THREE TIMES!) will be the largest in History, the LNG Facility in the Gulf of America will drive Exports, and further our Country's Energy DOMINANCE, and our Critical Minerals Facility will end our FOOLISH dependance on Foreign Sources.

This is a very exciting and HISTORIC time for the United States of America and Japan. Congratulations to all!

YPG's Mazloum Abdi:

We cannot say that America committed betrayal.

America came here to fight ISIS — not to fight alongside us against Türkiye or the Syrian state.

The U.S. stance was weak, and that disappointed our people. It shouldn't have happened this way.

When the danger grew, the U.S. position changed. They should have had this stance from the beginning.

Wrong evaluations of U.S. and Western politics led to negative consequences.

Mistakes were made, and they should be addressed.
