Are there going to be mistakes? Of course there will be mistakes.

I just finished watching The American Revolution, which is a documentary in the United States about our fight for independence. There were all kinds of mistakes made in the early days of the United States.

We continue to make mistakes.

But the important thing about democracies — the important thing about stable societies — is that we are able to correct those mistakes, to provide accountability and justice when mistakes are made, and to move forward in a positive way.

And that is what I think we want for Syria and for the entire Middle East region.

I can’t think about it because otherwise I will think only about it. But I don’t have time for it.

They attack us with, you see, hundreds and hundreds of drones and missiles. What is the difference between poison and missile? I don’t see the difference.

Let’s strengthen our multilateral system, reforming and empowering those institutions that, despite their flaws, have succeeded in maintaining peace in the West for decades.

And also let’s invest in the values of solidarity, empathy, and cooperation that have brought us this far, because the rearmament that we most urgently need in the world is a moral one.

What we have to do is to strengthen the European defense industry.

And that means that, paradoxically, if we agree with this idea of 5%, at the end of the day we will become more dependent on the US defense industry.

Zelensky:

I think they never had another goal than occupation of Ukraine. Minimum what they want: Donbas, the Donetsk region 100%, to sell this like a victory to their society.

This is victory for himself. I’m not sure he thinks how to sell something to his society — he can sell everything, he did it for 30 years.

That’s why we can’t withdraw from our territory or exchange one piece for another. It’s a little bit crazy. Sorry.

This is not just land. 200,000 people there. Hundreds of thousands killed there, especially in Donbas.

Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen:

If one NATO country attacks another NATO country, then NATO ends.

Right now, unfortunately, the United States — something I never thought I would say in my lifetime — is the source of more instability than any other nation in the world. The United States of America.

But I say this: it’s not dead. It’s dormant. You may need to sleep with one eye open. It will take time, but it is certainly not dead.

Trump is historically unpopular. He is going to get crushed in the midterm elections. Crushed.

He’s going to lose his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose tariffs.

He will lose that at the Supreme Court in a matter of months. That authority has been the source of much of his energy and negotiating power.

And by the way, it has also been the source of direct dealing by the most corrupt president in American history.

What do so many of these foreign policy trips have in common? Members of his family are there first — setting the tone, setting the course of the deal for the tower, the golf course, the investments, the crypto. Not just Trump — partnerships with the family.

It’s all there in plain sight. It’s open. It’s not about the $400 million planes as tithings and gifts, or the billions of dollars flowing in over the last year. It’s not about policymaking. It’s about profit-making.

Finnish President Stubb:

I don’t think any sensible Europeans would go back to Russian energy.

I think the whole idea that energy binds us together and interdependence is now over — so we’re looking at alternative solutions in Europe.
