EU's Kaja Kallas to Mike Waltz:

When Russia goes to war, they go alone because they don’t have allies.

When America goes to wars, a lot of us go with you, and we lose our people along the way.

You also need us.

NEW: The Trump administration has added major Chinese firms including Alibaba Group and Baidu to a Pentagon list of companies allegedly supporting China’s military.

The “1260H” list does not impose immediate sanctions, but U.S. law will bar the Defense Department from contracting with listed firms in the coming years.

Other companies added include BYD, WuXi AppTec and RoboSense Technology.

Sen. John Fetterman on supporting Israel:

It’s increasingly more punishing to have that view.

Look at the people that are running for the Senate now.

One of their defining features of their campaign is “I’m not going to take AIPAC money” or that “it was a genocide.”

Türkiye’s defense chief says the KAAN fifth-generation fighter has reached another major milestone, with multiple prototypes now advancing in parallel as development, testing and production accelerate.

Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün called the hangar rollout of the static test aircraft and the second flying prototype “a very valuable step” in the National Combat Aircraft program.

The first prototype flew in 2024; development and production are now running simultaneously.

KAAN will feature low observability, internal weapons bays, advanced avionics, sensor fusion, electronic warfare and multi-role capability, placing it among “the selected class of combat aircraft in the world that can be counted on one hand.”

A domestic engine and phased capability upgrades are underway.

Human–unmanned combat integration is also being developed in parallel.

Serial production preparations are progressing at full speed.

Sen. John Fetterman:

I’m not defending Trump, but I will say he hasn’t defied a single court order yet. He hasn’t.

And there was the big freakout that he was going to run in ’28. And I’m like, no, he’s not going to run. That’s not going to happen.

And now, of course, he’s not going to run.

Far-right Canadian separatists from the Alberta Prosperity Project (APP) say they met three times with “very, very senior” Trump administration officials in 2025, with another meeting planned.

They discussed:
— Switching to the U.S. dollar
— Border security
— Taxes and national debt
— Alberta’s pension system
— Even creating “an independent military”

“Alberta will also need its own military… And would the U.S. be willing to work with Alberta in the development of an Alberta military? That’s on the table for discussion.”

The group insists:

“We were not advocating for Alberta to become the 51st state.”

With a new two-thirds “supermajority” in the lower house, Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi is moving to restart efforts to amend Japan’s Constitution — especially to clarify the legal status of the Self-Defense Forces (SDF).

The LDP’s main priority is:
— Explicitly recognizing the Self-Defense Forces in the Constitution.
— Adding emergency clauses for national crises.

Coalition partner Japan Innovation Party wants to go further — even revisiting Article 9’s limits on “war potential.”

Israeli spyware company Paragon Solutions accidentally revealed details of its Graphite spyware after a LinkedIn post by its chief compliance officer included a screenshot of the live control panel.

The dashboard reportedly showed active tools to monitor targets via WhatsApp, Signal, and Telegram, including options for full remote device access.

The leak appeared to confirm Graphite can:
— Use zero-click exploits
— Read encrypted messages (via device compromise)
— Activate microphones/cameras
— Extract data without user interaction

Paragon markets Graphite as an “ethical” government tool, but it has previously been linked to surveillance of journalists and civil society members.

The company quickly deleted the post, but screenshots spread widely.

A major 2025 NATO exercise in Estonia (Hedgehog) exposed serious weaknesses in how the alliance would fight a high-intensity drone war like Ukraine’s.

Despite involving 16,000 troops from 12 countries, NATO forces were rapidly overwhelmed by a small Ukrainian-led “enemy” team using real battlefield tactics and Ukraine’s AI-enabled Delta targeting system.

In one scenario, NATO units advanced without adapting to drone transparency:

“It was all destroyed.”

A 10-person Ukrainian adversary team mock-destroyed 17 armored vehicles in half a day. Overall results were described as:

“Horrible” for NATO forces.

One commander reportedly concluded:

“We are f—cked.”

Germany’s Panzerbrigade 45, permanently stationed in Lithuania, is struggling to recruit enough volunteers.

Tank Battalion 203: 197 of 414 needed (48%)

Mechanized Infantry Battalion 122: 181 of 640 needed (28%)

Support units (artillery, engineers, logistics, recon): 209 of 1,971 needed (~10%)

To fix the gap, Germany plans:
— Outreach to 43,000 soldiers
— Information trips to Lithuania
— Cutting minimum deployment time from 2 years to 1

The brigade, launched in April 2025, aims for full operational strength (4,800 troops + 200 civilians) by end of 2027 — but that timeline now looks uncertain.
