A luxury private jet owned by Florida property tycoon Gil Dezer, a longtime business partner and donor to Trump, was used by US immigration authorities to deport Palestinian men from the US to the Israeli-occupied West Bank, a Guardian investigation has found.

In January and February, the jet flew groups of Palestinians detained by ICE from Arizona to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, Israeli authorities transferred them to West Bank checkpoints, where they were released with little assistance. Several deportees said they were shackled during the long-haul flights.

One man, Maher Awad, 24, had lived in the US for nearly a decade and has a partner and infant son in Michigan. He said he was dropped at a checkpoint “like an animal” and had no contact with his family for months.

The US State Department plans to fund MAGA-aligned think-tanks and charities in Europe to promote American policy positions and oppose European online speech regulations.
