Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Türkiye on 11 February 2026.

Mediators from Qatar, Türkiye and Egypt have proposed a framework for Iran–US talks set for Friday.

The plan calls on Iran to halt uranium enrichment for three years, cap it below 1.5 percent afterward, and transfer its enriched uranium stock to a third country.

The proposal also includes limits on ballistic missile use, a halt to arming regional allies, and a possible nonaggression agreement between Tehran and Washington.

Talks are expected to take place in Oman, attended by US envoy Steve Witkoff and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.

U.S. and Russia are nearing a handshake deal to keep observing the New START nuclear treaty after it expires Thursday.

The agreement wouldn’t be legally binding but would have both sides follow the treaty’s limits for at least six months while negotiating a new framework.
