BREAKING: FIFA President Infantino says the Russia ban should be lifted: “We have to. Definitely.”
He argues the ban “has not achieved anything” and only “created more frustration and hatred.”
Says letting Russians play would help “having girls and boys from Russia play in Europe would help.”
He also opposes banning Israel, calling it “a defeat.”
Infantino wants rule changes so FIFA “never ban any country… because of the acts of their political leaders.”

DOJ mistakenly revealed names of dozens of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims — including minors — in newly released files.
At least 43 of 47 victim names were left unredacted, some appearing over 100 times, despite legal requirements to protect identities.
Victims’ attorneys say they provided a list of 350 names in advance, but the Justice Department failed to properly check the redactions.
The DOJ says it is removing names when notified and called the errors minimal.

At a black-tie dinner, Trump joked about territorial expansion, first saying he needed to “watch the invasion of Greenland” before walking it back.
The remarks drew scattered laughter and long pauses from the audience.

“We’re not going to invade Greenland. We’re going to buy it,” he said. “I want to make Canada the 51st state. Greenland will be the 52nd state. Venezuela can be 53rd.”

Former Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi calls for the federalization of Europe:
Grouping together small countries does not automatically produce a powerful bloc. This is the logic of confederation—the logic by which Europe still operates in defense, foreign policy, and fiscal matters. This model does not produce power.
A group of states that merely coordinates remains a group of states: each with a veto, each with its own calculus, each vulnerable to being picked off one by one.
Power requires Europe to move from confederation to federation. Where Europe has federated—on trade, competition, the single market, and monetary policy—we are respected as a power and negotiate as one.
Where we have not—on defense, industrial policy, and foreign affairs—we are treated as a loose assembly of middle-sized states, to be divided and dealt with accordingly.
A Europe unified on trade but fragmented on defense will find its commercial power leveraged against its security dependence.

Turkish President Erdogan on Syria:
Every step that contributes to peace and stability in Syria, and that guarantees Syria’s territorial integrity and political unity, is reasonable and acceptable to us.
It is very important that the issue in northern Syria be resolved without bloodshed, on the basis of one army, one state, and one Syria.
With these latest agreements, a new page has now been opened before the Syrian people.
I say this openly and clearly: whoever attempts to sabotage this process will pay the price.
Today or in the future, those who seek help from terrorism or resort to terrorism for any reason must know that they will never achieve results.

Turkish President Erdogan:
Tomorrow we will set out on a two-day trip that includes Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
In our meetings in both brotherly countries, in addition to our bilateral relations, we will discuss the pressing developments in our region.
We will evaluate what joint steps we can take regarding Gaza’s security and reconstruction, and what we can do to prevent the Iran crisis from escalating further.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei:
The recent sedition was orchestrated by Zionists & the US.
I was informed through a certain channel that the CIA & Mossad deployed all of their resources into the field!
Nevertheless, they were defeated. The sedition's plan was developed abroad, and it was managed from abroad.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei:
This sedition resembled a coup attempt which was suppressed.
But why call it a coup attempt? Because the goal was to destroy the centers effective in the country's governance.
They attacked the police, IRGC bases, government institutions, and banks.

Qasem Soleimani was the military leader of Iran.
If he lived, that attack we made on Iran would not have been the same thing. He was a great general.
They don't have that now.
