Qatar’s Prime Minister met in Tehran with Iran’s Ali Larijani to discuss efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.

NEW: Starlink has imposed a speed limit (about 75–90 km/h) to stop its terminals from working on fast-moving drones.

This affects both Russian and Ukrainian UAVs for now.

Ukraine is reportedly creating a whitelist so only approved Ukrainian terminals will work, blocking Russian drone use.

If this can’t be bypassed, Starlink-based Russian strike drones may disappear.

Mark Savaya, appointed by Trump as U.S. special envoy for Iraq in October, is no longer in the role.

The move comes amid rising tensions between Washington and Baghdad over Iran’s influence in Iraqi politics.

Savaya was criticized for mishandling key issues, including failing to block the nomination of former Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, whom Trump warned Iraq against choosing.

U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye and Syria envoy Tom Barrack is expected to take over the Iraq portfolio.
