I see extending this idea to a free Iran through what we could call the Cyrus Accords, honoring our ancient heritage of tolerance and partnership.

Protect the Iranian people by degrading the regime’s repressive capacity, including targeting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard leadership and its command and control infrastructure.

Deliver and sustain maximum economic pressure on the regime. Block their assets worldwide. Target and dismantle their fleet of ghost tankers.

Break through the regime’s information blockade by enabling unrestricted internet access. Deploy Starlink and other secure communications tools widely across Iran. And conduct cyber operations to disable the regime’s ability to shut down the internet.

Hold the regime accountable by expelling its diplomats from your capitals and pursue legal enforcement actions against those responsible for crimes against humanity.

Demand the immediate release of all political prisoners.

Prepare for a democratic transition in Iran by committing to recognize a legitimate transitional government when the moment comes.

NEW: The White House announced the creation of the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a transitional civilian body intended to oversee governance and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.

The NCAG will be led by Dr. Ali Sha’ath and is tasked with restoring public services and managing day-to-day administration during the transition. The initiative is part of Phase Two of a broader U.S.-backed framework announced by President Trump.

U.S. officials also announced the formation of supporting executive and advisory bodies. Members named to senior leadership and oversight roles include Marco Rubio, Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner, Tony Blair, Marc Rowan, Ajay Banga, Robert Gabriel, Nickolay Mladenov, Hakan Fidan, Reem Al-Hashimy, Ali Al-Thawadi, Hassan Rashad, Yakir Gabay, and Sigrid Kaag. The European Commission is exploring a way for Ukraine to join the EU quickly with limited rights, as part of a potential peace deal with Russia.

Under the idea, Ukraine would become an EU member early on but gain full voting and membership rights only gradually, as it meets EU legal and economic standards.

The proposal aims to give Ukrainians a credible post-war security and stability signal without abandoning the EU’s accession rules.

The plan is still at an early stage and would need approval from all EU governments and national parliaments.
