Europe firmly rejects Trump’s Ukraine peace plan in its current form.

Leaders say Ukraine must not be forced to give up territory, its army must not be weakened, and Russian “security guarantees” cannot be trusted.

They also oppose Trump’s idea to use frozen Russian assets for a US-Russia investment fund.

Europe insists on being part of any agreement and stresses: only Ukraine can decide its future.

While there are many good ideas in the proposed Russia-Ukraine peace plan, there are several areas that are very problematic and can be made better.
