The United States has informed the guarantor states of the Gaza peace agreement about credible reports indicating an immediate intent by Hamas to violate the ceasefire against the residents of Gaza.

This planned attack against Palestinian civilians would constitute a direct and serious violation of the ceasefire terms and would undermine the significant progress achieved through mediation efforts.

If Hamas proceeds with this action, measures will be taken to protect the residents of Gaza and preserve the integrity of the ceasefire.
