Artem Timofeev, 37, suspected of organizing drone strikes on Russian airbases, became a Russian citizen years ago, registered as a private entrepreneur in 2024, and bought four trucks later used in the June 1 attacks.

His social media shows strong pro-Ukrainian views. A former DJ and Euromaidan supporter, Timofeev previously lived in Kyiv before moving to Russia after the war began.

Despite clear pro-Ukrainian ties, he faced no scrutiny when acquiring citizenship, buying trucks, or renting warehouses. The trucks were loaded with drones used to strike targets like the Belaya airbase.

He hired drivers from Chelyabinsk—now arrested—and reportedly fled Russia with his wife just before the attacks.

The containers look like tiny homes—solar panels on top, an empty interior, nothing suspicious.

But inside, they charge batteries and hide a drone just 20 cm below the ceiling.
