Egypt's foreign minister told the Palestinian prime minister that Palestinians should stay in Gaza while it is rebuilt.

A statement from the Egyptian foreign ministry, posted on its Facebook page, said: "Regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza, the meeting reaffirmed the importance of continuing early reconstruction projects, removing rubble and accelerating the delivery of humanitarian aid - without Palestinians leaving Gaza, especially in light of their attachment to their land and their refusal to leave."

NEW: Jordan's King Abdullah II firmly opposes any attempts to annex land or forcibly displace Palestinians.

His statement comes after U.S. President Trump suggested resettling Palestinians elsewhere and taking control of Gaza—sparking global outrage.

"Settlement expansion must stop. We reject any plans that threaten Palestinian rights," the Jordanian royal court declared on X.
