Philippine and US Army exercises will use the missile's payload delivery system next month, says spokesman Col. Louie Dema-ala.

He said the Army Artillery Regiment and US Army Pacific (USARPAC) will use the Typhon payload system in the Philippine Army's exercise in February.

The Typhon missile system arrived in April 2024 and was last seen in Ilocos Norte, a province bordering Taiwan.

Rwanda has called for a ceasefire in eastern Congo and for Congo to negotiate with the rebels.

Rwanda vs. South Africa

Relations between Rwanda and South Africa have significantly worsened, primarily due to the ongoing conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

The situation escalated after 13 South African soldiers were killed during operations against the M23 rebel group in the DRC.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame accused South African President Cyril Ramaphosa of distorting facts, asserting that the soldiers were killed by DRC forces, not Rwandan troops, as Ramaphosa suggested.

In a series of statements, Kagame criticized South Africa’s military strength and questioned its role as a peacekeeper in the region.

He stated that if South Africa preferred confrontation, Rwanda would respond accordingly.

Kagame also emphasized that Rwanda’s military is a legitimate national army, not a militia, and argued that South Africa’s involvement in the DRC was misguided.

The LAF was ready to move in but couldn't until the IDF withdrew. Israel's presence in the area, including the possible approval of five outposts, has raised concerns of further escalation and destabilisation of Lebanon.

Hezbollah is rebuilding its military and unlikely to provoke a direct confrontation. Israel's presence could lead to renewed violence.
