During this time, Assad’s family also acquired luxury properties in Russia, securing their wealth.

Russia has evacuated at least 400 troops from Damascus following its takeover by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

The withdrawal, coordinated with HTS, included nearly 100 vehicles heading to Hmeimim airbase before flying back to Russia.
