It cannot be easily subdued with terror or violence, nor used as a testing ground for instability.

Turkish security sources say the Syrian National Army (SNA) thwarted the YPG/PKK’s attempt to establish a terror corridor by cutting off the Raqqa-Aleppo road.

The sources highlighted collaboration between the Assad regime and the YPG/PKK, noting that opposition forces captured Aleppo following clashes in Idlib. Facing rapid territorial losses, the regime sought YPG/PKK support, handing over territories east of the Euphrates.

This led to a significant transfer of YPG/PKK terrorists and heavy weaponry to the Aleppo region.

The SNA disrupted their plan with “Operation Dawn of Freedom,” preventing the formation of the corridor between Tel Rifaat and northeastern Syria.
