IDF expands ground manoeuvre in southern Lebanon

Hezbollah said on Sunday it was fighting Israeli forces trying to infiltrate Ramya village in southern Lebanon, as a third U.N. peacekeeper was wounded.

Israeli strikes have shook the peacekeepers' main base in southern Lebanon, prompting U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Western countries to condemn the attacks. The UNIFIL force called it a "serious development" and said the security of U.N. personnel and property must be guaranteed.

— The Israeli military’s days-long siege of northern Gaza and relentless bombing has deepened the humanitarian crisis in the region, with no food aid entering since the beginning of this month, aid agencies said.

— At least 19 people were killed in attacks on Jabalya, Gaza’s Health Ministry said Saturday. Across the entire Strip, at least 49 people were killed in 24 hours, it stated.

— The United Nations estimates that around 400,000 people remain trapped in the northern region.

Israeli army infiltration attempt

— Hezbollah claimed that the Israeli army was targeted with a guided missile while trying to infiltrate Lebanese territory from the Ramia direction, killing or wounding some Israeli soldiers.

— Earlier this morning, Israeli army helicopters reportedly brought 4 soldiers wounded in Lebanon to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. According to Israeli media reports, at least 11 Israeli soldiers were wounded in southern Lebanon.

BIG: Germany will no longer provide Ukraine with heavy military equipment

— Zelenskyy asked German Chancellor Scholz for permission to strike Russia with Western weapons and a guarantee of quick accession to NATO. Scholz ignored.

— Although Germany announced new aid, it turned out to be a previously promised supply.

— The Bundeswehr will no longer provide Ukraine with heavy equipment, including Leopard 2 tanks, PzH 2000 howitzers and Marder IFVs.

— German Defense Ministry does not believe in the possibility of a Ukrainian counteroffensive anymore.
