New footage of China's newest aircraft carrier, the Fujian, has been released, providing a closer look at its catapult system and control station.

— The carrier's retractable catapult control station, nicknamed the "bubble," is very similar in design to the one on the USS Gerald R. Ford, a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

— The Fujian is China's first carrier with a Catapult Assisted Take-Off But Arrested Recovery (CATOBAR) configuration, featuring three electromagnetic catapults.

— The Fujian is notable for being only the second carrier in the world (after the USS Gerald R. Ford) to use an electromagnetic aircraft launch system (EMALS).

— China is reportedly developing another CATOBAR carrier, possibly nuclear-powered, referred to as the Type 004.

Biden has decided to grant Egypt its full allocation of $1.3 billion in military aid for 2024, overriding human rights conditions.

— The targeted facility is known for chemical research and is used by both Iran and Syria. The area hosts regular meetings between high-ranking Syrian regime officers and Iranian Revolutionary Guard officers.

— The area was put under heavy security lockdown after the attack.
