#BREAKING Spain says it will officially recognize the state of Palestine on May 28.

An Egyptian spy torpedoed a potential cease-fire deal between Israel and Hamas earlier this month by secretly changing its terms before handing it between the warring sides, CNN reports.

The intelligence official, Ahmed Abdel Khalek, changed the deal after Israel had already agreed to it by adding in more of Hamas' demands.

Officials involved in the talks from Qatar, the US, and Israel were blindsided and angered by the spy's secret changes.

The U.S. and Saudi Arabia are negotiating the sale of advanced F-35 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia as part of a broader defense pact that also includes U.S. civilian nuclear cooperation for the kingdom.

Negotiators have been discussing the F-35 sales along with other weapons as part of the deal.

But this will be in return for halting Chinese arms purchases and restricting Beijing's investment in the country.

British Defence Minister Grant Shapps accused China of providing or preparing to provide Russia with lethal aid for use by Moscow in Ukraine.

"U.S. and British defence intelligence have evidence that lethal aid is now, or will be, flowing from China to Russia and into Ukraine."
