Chinese officials have asked their Iranian counterparts to help rein in attacks on ships in the Red Sea by the Iran-backed Houthis, or risk harming business relations with Beijing, Reuters reports.

#BREAKING The International Court of Justice (ICJ) says some of the acts alleged by South Africa to have been "committed by Israel [in Gaza] appear to be capable of falling" within the provisions of the Genocide Convention.

ICJ orders Israel take all measures to prevent genocide, ensure its military forces don't commit those acts, prosecute its incitement and that it must allow basic services and protect relevant evidence.

ICJ also finds that the 'conditions to indicate provisional measures are met'.

Note: The International Court of Justice declined to order Israel to cease military operations in Gaza.
