Turkish aerospace company BAYKAR to invest $100 million in Ukraine

BAYKAR’s CEO, Haluk Bayraktar:

We have three main investments in Ukraine. One of them is the factory. Then we have a service center and a head office here. This is an investment of about 100 million dollars and the process has already started. Construction has already started. It will take about 1.5 years. We plan to employ at least 300 people here.

This production will be self-sufficient, ecological and mutually beneficial as Ukraine has unique technologies for engine production and the Turkish side has UAVs on which these engines are installed.

We also face some challenges. These are the supply chain, finding and developing human capital due to the impact of the war, and the regulatory environment, especially the rules to support these investments.

The current war has become a war of drones and Ukraine has some advantages in this regard, although difficult to implement, especially due to the use of various types of aircraft. Feedback from the military on the use of technology is particularly important in these circumstances. This is why the Bayraktars used in Ukraine are equipped with a number of unique systems.

We are not here to maximize our revenue or profit. We are here to support you as much as possible. We respect your fight for freedom and independence, to protect your sovereignty.

All donations from Baykar, as well as from Ukraine and Poland, were used specifically for the purchase of radar systems, which have already detected thousands of targets and brought significant results on the battlefield.

The total volume of these donations is 106 million dollars.

#BREAKING British troops will be deployed in Ukraine for the first time under plans being discussed with military chiefs, UK’s new Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has disclosed.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Grant Shapps said that he had held talks with Army leaders about shifting an official British-led training programme “into Ukraine” rather than relying on UK and other Nato members’ bases.

He also called on more British defence firms to set up factories in Ukraine.

UK Army will train Zelensky’s military on the ground and Navy may move into Black Sea.

Satellite imagery shows Russia is now painting the silhouettes of Tu-95MS “Bear-H” strategic bombers in parking revetments at its master bomber base, Engels Air Base, also known as Engels-2.

Planet Labs satellite imagery obtained by The War Zone that was taken on Sept. 29 shows the two-dimensional decoys adorned on Engels’ tarmac — a near 'copy-paste' of the four-engine bomber’s distinctive planform right down to its black-painted cockpit area.

A second painted decoy appears partially complete next to the finished one.

It's worth noting that it is possible that these are some sort of low profile cloth/canvas or other decoy, but it has little to no vertical dimension, so paint is most likely.

Separately, having assured Zelensky on Wednesday that the UK “will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine”, Mr Shapps suggested that Britain was preparing to play a more active role helping the country to defend itself against attacks in the Black Sea, where Russia has been increasingly targeting cargo ships carrying grain.

“We’ve seen in the last month or so, developments – really the first since 2014 in the Black Sea, in Crimea – and Britain is a naval nation so we can help and we can advise, particularly since the water is international water.

Deploying British troops to Ukraine or offering naval support in the Black Sea would mark a significant escalation in the UK’s involvement in the conflict.

However, companies like DMG Mori continue to support Russian imperialism instead of supporting Ukraine and preventing the killing of civilians.
