WSJ: Germany Stalling Long-Range Cruise Missile Delivery to Ukraine

Germany is holding off sending Taurus long-range precision missiles to Ukraine because of concerns they would require German technicians to operate on the ground, which some officials fear could drag Berlin closer to a direct confrontation with Russia.

German officials said Germanyโ€™s three-party coalition government had approved delivery of the Taurus in principle but that Chancellor Olaf Scholz had stalled the move because of concerns that German personnel would have to travel to Ukraine to help service and operate the complex weapon.

Scholz believes moving military personnel to a war zone would require a vote of parliament, the officials said. He is also concerned that such a move could drag Germany deeper into the conflict, possibly causing a direct confrontation with Russia.

The Guardian:

Ukraine suggested allies launch missile strikes on Iraninian Shahed UAV factories.

Among the suggestions for action by Ukraineโ€™s western allies โ€“ at which they would probably baulk โ€“ are โ€œmissile strikes on the production plants of these UAVs in Iran, Syria, as well as on a potential production site in the Russian Federationโ€.

According to the document, Iran has already diversified its production through the use of a Syrian factory delivering to the Russian port of Novorossiysk but the production of drones is shifting to Russia, to the central Tartar region of Alabuga, although Tehran continues to supply the components.

The document goes on:

โ€œThe above may be carried out by the Ukrainian defence forces if partners provide the necessary means of destruction.โ€

In the 1st Karabakh War, when Armenians occupied Kalbajar, they captured the child seen in this video footage recorded in April 1993.

The woman begging the Armenians there is his grandmother.

Armenian soldiers, ignoring the pleas and cries of his grandmother, put the boy on the tank and took him away.

They killed the grandmother in front of the child (Zabil Seferov) and kept him captive for 3 years.

For three long, excruciating years, Zabil and others like him endured the horrors of captivity.

In Armenian prison camps in Khankendi and Agdara, and within the merciless walls of Shusha prison, they were reduced to slaves.

The oppressors wielded their power without restraint, torturing and taking lives at will, regardless of age.

Under the leadership of the ICRC, he was released in a prisoner exchange in 1996.

Zabil Seferov was but a mere 15-year-old when the Armenians snatched him from his world in Kalbajar.

Today, Iranโ€™s Aerospace Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, using three-stage Qased launch vehicle, launched into Earth orbit the military reconnaissance satellite Noor 3.

Noor 3 was launched into orbit about 450 km above the Earth.

Iran claims Noor 3 is 7 kg heavier and its camera resolution is 2.5 times better than that of the previous Noor 2.

Noor 2 had a mass of 17 kg and a resolution of 12-15 meters.

The new Noor 3 satellite launched now should have a mass of 24 kg and a resolution of about 5-6 meters.
