Poland's Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak has come under fire after disclosing "top secret" documents on the country's military for election campaign.
The declassified documents indicated a plan for a large-scale retreat of the Polish Army across the Vistula River in the event of a Russian invasion, in total it was planned to surrender 40% of Poland's territories in the event of an invasion.
It is indirectly indicated that NATO forces in 2011 needed up to 14 days for the deployment of an international military contingent on the territory of Poland, and the beginning of resistance to the Russian invasion. At this time, the Polish Army had to restrain the enemy on its own, gaining time.
When simulating such hostilities in 2020 during the Zima-20 staff exercises, disappointing results were obtained: on the fifth day of the virtual conflict, "the enemy was on the Vistula line, there were battles for Warsaw, strategic ports were blocked or captured."
As a result of the exercises, the Polish aviation and fleet were destroyed, despite the support of NATO.
Campaigning continues in Poland ahead of the October 15 parliamentary elections and a four-question referendum.
Voters will be asked whether they approve of privatisation of state-owned enterprises, increase in the retirement age, admission of immigrants under the EU relocation mechanism and removal of the barrier on Poland's border with Belarus.

The bizarre secret behind China's spy balloon
Top US General Milley told CBS News Sunday Morning that the balloon wasn't spying.
โThe intelligence community, their assessment โ and it's a high-confidence assessment โ [is] that there was no intelligence collection by that balloon."
After the Navy raised the wreckage from the bottom of the Atlantic, technical experts discovered the balloon's sensors had never been activated while over the Continental United States.

Turkish President Erdogan on Russo-Ukrainian War:
It is very clear that this war is going to be long and it is not going to end soon.
We want to be very hopeful. Mr. Putin is actually in favor of ending this war as soon as possible.
I am only saying this according to his words, Mr. Putin wants this war to end as soon as possible. That's what he said and I believe his words.
Only the two leaders can say how long the war will last.

The New York Times investigation:
A missile fired from the Ukrainian Buk air defense system fell on the market in Konstantinovka, killing 15 civilians and injuring 30 more.
Witness accounts and an analysis of video and weapon fragments suggest a Ukrainian missile failed to hit its intended target and landed in a bustling street, with devastating consequences.
Less than two hours later, President Volodymyr Zelensky blamed Russian โterroristsโ for the attack, and many media outlets followed suit.
But NYT journalists came to the conclusion that the tragedy occurred due to an error by the Ukrainian air defense.
A few minutes before the explosion, a post appeared in local public pages about the launch of Ukrainian surface-to-air missiles, and camera records show that one of them was flying from territory controlled by Ukraine.
The launch itself was carried out from the city of Druzhkivka - on September 6, it was heard by NYT reporters working nearby and two eyewitnesses.
Journalists also visited the site of the alleged missile launch in the Druzhkivka area.
There they found track marks, trenches and scorched grass; satellite images of the site before and after the impact also showed the appearance of new traces of launches.
