Tucker Carlson:

It's wrong for a leader to choose another country over you, just like it would be wrong for a kid to take the neighbor's kids to Disney World while his own kids starved.

It's exactly what Trump did. He chose Israel over the United States. People lie about it, but everyone can see it. Super, super obvious. And that's just wrong.

Tucker Carlson:

Donald Trump chose a foreign country, Israel, its interests over his own country's interests.

And there's no debating that. Exit polling shows it. I mean, there's really no other interpretation of it. That's just factually true.

Tucker Carlson:

You're probably not as mad at JD Vance as you were at Donald Trump. You're probably pretty mad because, like, why didn't he speak up? Fair. Totally fair.

This is not in any way an attempt to resurrect JD Vance or argue that he should be the nominee in 2028.

Trump reportedly privately questioned whether the war with Iran had cost Republicans the midterm elections.

Before polls closed, Trump asked someone he spoke with:

โ€œIf we never went into Iran, what do you think would happen in the midterms?โ€

The question came after his advisers warned that the prolonged war, closure of the Strait of Hormuz and soaring gas prices were hurting Republican electoral prospects.

An internal presentation circulated by Trump adviser James Blair warned that the Iran war was severely damaging Republicans' midterm election prospects.

The presentation showed Democrats' polling advantage widening during active hostilities, narrowing during ceasefire negotiations and rising again after the ceasefire collapsed.

By late July, Democrats held a 10-point advantage on the congressional ballot.

The presentation warned that Republicans could lose the Senate unless an extended ceasefire was secured, the Strait of Hormuz reopened and gas prices fell.

Internal Republican polling showed strong public support for a proposed Iran agreement negotiated by Vice President JD Vance in mid-June.

Voters familiar with the proposal supported it by a 41-point margin, while 67% believed it would lower gasoline prices.

However, Republican Iran hawks, including Senator Ted Cruz, pushed Trump to maintain pressure on Tehran.

The agreement subsequently collapsed, and the war continued.

Trump's senior advisers joked about fleeing to Israel and seeking asylum following an anticipated Republican defeat in the midterm elections.

During a private strategy call six days before the election, Trump adviser James Blair sarcastically said:

โ€œAt least Bibi won. Heโ€™ll protect us.โ€

Trump's chief pollster, Tony Fabrizio, responded:

โ€œMaybe we could get asylum in Israel.โ€

Trump's own internal polling showed that ending the Iran war and addressing inflation were the top priorities for Republican voters who were planning to sit out the midterm elections.

A survey conducted by Trump's chief pollster, Tony Fabrizio, two weeks before Election Day found that Republicans who did not intend to vote identified ending the war and tackling inflation as the two leading reasons that could persuade them to support the party again.

The same survey found that the MAGA Republican brand was more unpopular among voters than democratic socialists.

Iran remains an "emerging" space power despite U.S. strikes on its space facilities, according to a Pentagon intelligence report.

The Defense Intelligence Agency said Iran has used GPS jamming and other electronic warfare capabilities to disrupt U.S. space operations during Operation Epic Fury.

Iran also reportedly acquired Chinese satellite imagery to improve military targeting, while Russia has helped launch Iranian satellites.

Iran operates around a dozen satellites, but analysts question U.S. claims of space superiority, citing Tehran's continued jamming capabilities.
