Cisco is giving certifications for the competences under the networking field. CCNA Routing and Switching Certification is one the most significant Associate Engineer level certification.
There is no prerequisite for CCNA Routing and Switching certification. To get the certification candidates have to pass the following exam (current valid exam):

Cisco Certified Network Associate (200–125 CCNA)
OR
Passing two Certification Exams
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (100–105 ICND1)
And
Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (200–105 ICND2)

ICND1 – Covers the first two Modules (Module 1- Introduction to Networks; Module 2- Routing and Switching Essentials)
ICND2 – covers the last two Modules (Module 3- Scaling Networks; Module 4- Connecting Networks)

Starting from February 24, 2020; CCNA Routing and Switching training and examination will be changed. The new CCNA training is named as: Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions. It includes 3 very wide Courses. Each Course includes a number of Modules:
 CCNAv7: Introduction to Networks
 CCNAv7: Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials
 CCNAv7: Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation

The new CCNA Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions training and examination will replace the following certifications:
 CCNA Cloud
 CCNA Collaboration
 CCNA Data Center
 CCDA
 CCNA Industrial
 CCNA Routing and Switching
 CCNA Security
 CCNA Service Provider
 CCNA Wireless

Note: those who are already certified or will be certified before Feb. 24/2020:
For CCNA (all specialization areas), Specialist and CCNP: Your current certification is still valid and will be active until its expiration date (which is 3 years). When the new program goes into effect February 24, 2020, your current certification will be transitioned to an equivalent in the new program.

Note: Those who are already familiar with the current CCNA Routing and Switching ( 4 modules) please take the exam before Feb.24/2020 so that You can keep your advantage to transit your certifications into the new one.
