ENJOYING CREATION - OCTOBER 10 2020

We talk about tithing—what God demands of our resources—but what about God’s demands on our time? From the Israelites, God demanded one day out of seven—a higher proportion than that which He demanded of their material possessions. How many people in the church today really give God one day out of seven? That is one reason that there are so many nervous breakdowns—there are frustrated, frantic, busy people who never get the job done.

God was the first One who rested. He worked, then rested. A Palestinian Arab friend of mine who owns many restaurants says, “God did not work because He had a family to support. And God did not rest because He was tired. It was on a much higher level than that. God worked because He is a Creator.” God rested, I believe, because He wanted to enjoy what He had created. If we never take time to enjoy what we have created, we are in a miserable condition.

Which takes more faith: to work or to rest? Israel failed to enter into rest because of unbelief. Why can a Christian not rest? Also because of unbelief. That is the diagnosis of the problem.

Relaxation comes in knowing that God initiated it. I used to go away on “vacation.” But vacation means you have nothing to do—it is taken from the word vacant. Sometimes, though, it is good to have nothing to do. But I felt that vacation was the wrong word to use. Instead, I called these periods holidays, which means “holy day.” God showed me that it is a sin to never take a holiday. In Israel’s calendar, as God ordained it, many holidays were required. There were no options. They are God-ordained holidays—not because someone wants to be lazy, but because God has said to take a holiday.

PRAYER RESPONSE.
Thank You, Lord, for the promise of entering Your rest. I proclaim that God rested to enjoy what He created, and I will do the same. I shall fear lest I fail to rest in Christ. Amen.

May the peace of Christ be with you all.

THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD
Q) Can the devil read our thoughts,
A) No he cannot. Only God can read (Genesis 18:12-15) and Jesus did many times too please read (Mark 2:8).

A second question to understand and consider.

Q) What can the devil do with our minds? (2 Cornithians 10:4-5) the mind has to be protected or the devil can captivate our minds, bring thoughts of sin.

To be changed from within to walk In Christ all will need the Full Armour Of God found in (Ephesians 6:10-18) the last two verses in 2 Cornithians and Ephesians show the battle is not fleshly not earthly but spiritual against principalities, wickedness in high places.

Look at the Full Armour of God in detail that is promised to us.

1) Sheild of FAITH - protection from the "fiery darts of the wicked one" mind is sealed like an old wineskin reference "Arabon"

2) Helmet of SALVATION - is the sealing by the HS, without protection from fears, lust, lying, stealing, feeling guilty all of theses are False, Emotions, Appearing, Real. (FEAR) in (1 Peter 5:8-9) it says "be sober" "watch" your adversary "the devil" a roaring lion seeking people to devour (Hebrews 11:34)

3) loins girt about with TRUTH

4) breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS

5) feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of PEACE

6) sword of the SPIRIT, which is the word of God

May the peace of Christ of Christ be with you all.

STAY CALM! - 14 OCTOBER 2020

Keep your head in all situations.’

2 Timothy 4:5 NIV.

A woman was sitting in her lounge when a small black snake suddenly appeared, slithered across the floor, and made its way under the sofa. Being deathly afraid of snakes, she ran to the bathroom to get her husband, who was taking a shower. He came running from the shower with just a towel around his waist, grabbed an old broom handle from the cupboard, and began poking under the sofa. At this point the family dog awakened. Curious to see what was happening, the dog came up behind the husband and touched his cold nose to the back of the man’s heel. The man, thinking the snake had bitten him on the heel, fainted. The wife concluded that her husband had collapsed with a heart attack, so she ran from the house to a hospital just a street away. The ambulance drivers promptly came to her house and placed him on a stretcher. But as they were carrying him out, the snake reappeared from underneath the sofa. One of the drivers got so frightened that he dropped his end of the stretcher and broke the man’s leg. Seeing her husband’s twisted leg, the wife collapsed on the spot. Meanwhile, the snake slithered quietly away! An old African proverb says, ‘There are forty kinds of lunacy, but only one kind of common sense.’ Acting impulsively usually means things will get worse before they get better. So before you panic, calm yourself and ask God for wisdom and help, even in the simplest things.

Jeremiah 20-21, 1 Timothy 3

WHAT NOW?
Cut up some strips of paper. On each one, write a Bible verse that you find comforting and calming. Put the strips in a jar or small box. Then whenever you feel fear or panic growing, pick a strip and read the verse, making sure you really focus on the words and what God’s saying to you.

May the peace of Christ be with you all.

MORMONS BECOME GODS.
Mormonism have a salvation story an within it, exists the theology/teaching you can become your own god (little g on purpose) and thus becoming a god of your own planet. I know, but scripture tells us something different. Please read the following.

Isaiah 43:10 KJV — Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 44:8 KJV — Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Q) How can LORD not know of any other God's before him? - If there is no God's after him, therefore Mormons cannot become Gods.

May the peace of Christ be with you.

WALKING AND RESTING IN FAITH - OCTOBER 14 2020.

The one basic reason that the Israelites did not enter their God-given inheritance was unbelief. The same thing will keep us from our inheritance, too. The writer of Hebrews applied their situation to us, saying, “The word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it” (Hebrews 4:2). God’s Word can come to us, but it does us no good, nor does it accomplish God’s purposes of blessing, if it is not combined with faith. It takes faith to make the Word of God work in our lives.

The next verse says, “For we who have believed do enter that rest” (verse 3). True faith brings us into rest. Do you have that rest of faith? Have you met those conditions, or are you in danger of being like the Israelites, who hardened their hearts? Because of their unbelief, they missed all that God had for them. What a tragedy if that should happen to us today! Yet the writer of Hebrews makes it very clear that it can happen—indeed, that it will happen—if we are not diligent about entering that rest.

A little further on in Hebrews, we have the practical application of this lesson: “Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience” (Hebrews 4:11).

You may have heard me say, “When you find a therefore in the Bible, you need to find out what it is ‘there for.’” The above verse begins with a “therefore.” The point is, let us not go astray in the same way that the Israelites did in the Old Testament. Let’s guard ourselves against unbelief. Let’s be diligent and apply ourselves to walking in faith, conserving and cultivating our faith, strengthening and encouraging one another’s faith. Let’s not make the same terrible and tragic error that Israel made through unbelief. Bear in mind that there is a direct, causal connection between unbelief and disobedience.

PRAYER RESPONSE.
Thank You, Lord, for the promise of entering Your rest. I proclaim that true faith brings me into rest. I shall fear lest I fail to rest in Christ. Amen.

May the peace of Christ be you all.

Christ is Life. John 3:16
I find this to be a very powerful image of what Jesus did for us. I get chills every time I read it:

"He that hung up the earth in space was Himself hanged up; He that fixed the heavens was fixed with nails; He that bore up the earth was born up on a tree; the Lord of all was subjected to ignominy in a naked body—God put to death!...[I]n order that He might not be seen, the luminaries turned away, and the day became darkened—because they slew God, who hung naked on the tree...This is He who made the heaven and the earth, and in the beginning, together with the Father, fashioned man; who was announced by means of the law and the prophets; who put on a bodily form in the Virgin; who was hanged upon the tree; who was buried in the earth; who rose from the place of the dead, and ascended to the height of heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father."

The word one does not suggest that the Father and
the Son are identical persons. Rather, it means that
they are one in essence: the Father is God and the Son
is God, but the Father is not the Son and the Son is not
the Father. He is speaking about unity, not identity.
(See John 17:21–24 for similar language.)
The Jewish leaders understood clearly what He was
saying! Some modern liberal theologians would water
down our Lord’s statement, but the people who heard
it knew exactly what He was saying: “I am God!” (Note
John 10:33.) To speak this way, of course, was blasphemy, and according to Jewish belief, blasphemy had
to be punished by being put to death (see Lev. 24:16;
Num. 15:30ff.; Deut. 21:22).
Our Lord used Psalm 82:6 to refute their accusation and halt their actions. The picture in Psalm 82 is
that of a court, where God has assembled the judges of
the earth, to warn them that they too will one day be
judged. The Hebrew word elohim can be translated as
“god” or as “judges,” as in Exodus 21:6 and 22:8–9. It
is also one of the Old Testament names for God. The
Jewish rulers certainly knew their own language and
they knew that Jesus was speaking the truth. If God
called human judges “gods,” then why should they
stone Him for applying the same title to Himself

He is created from a water gushing forth.) meaning, the sexual fluid that comes out bursting forth from the man and the woman. Thus, the child is produced from both of them by the permission of Allah. Due to this Allah says,

﴿يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَآئِبِ ﴾

(Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs.) meaning, the backbone (or loins) of the man and the ribs of the woman, which is referring to her chest. Shabib bin Bishr reported from Ikrimah who narrated from Ibn Abbas that he said,

﴿يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَآئِبِ ﴾

(Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs.) "The backbone of the man and the ribs of the woman. It (the fluid) is yellow and fine in texture. The child will not be born except from both of them (i.e., their sexual fluids).'' Concerning Allah's statement,

﴿إِنَّهُ عَلَى رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ ﴾

(Verily, He is Able to bring him back (to life)!) This means that He is able to return this man that is created from fluid gushed forth. In other words, He is able to repeat his creation and resurrect him to the final abode. This is clearly possible, because whoever is able to begin the creation then he surely is able to repeat it. Indeed Allah has mentioned this proof in more than one place in the Qur'an.
TRY BIRD WATCHING 15 OCTOBER 2020
‘Look at the birds.’
Matthew 6:26 NLT
You may not like the political party that’s in power, but you’re much better off than the Jewish people Jesus was speaking to here. Their country was occupied by the Romans, and they paid extortionate taxes to keep them in power. They lived as slaves so they worried a lot. Then Jesus came along and said: ‘Look at the birds. They don’t plant…harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?’ (vv. 26-27 NLT). In other words, if you worry a lot – try bird watching! Birds don’t know where their next meal is coming from, yet you never see one sitting on a branch having an anxiety attack. So here’s the question: ‘Aren’t you far more valuable to God than they are?’ A man who was out of work, despondent, and worried about feeding his family noticed some birds eating strawberry shortcake from a bin. All at once it dawned on him – ‘If God can feed the birds strawberry shortcake, surely He can take care of me too!’ Even if you suffer from a poor self-image and think you’re not worth taking care of, aren’t you still more valuable than a bird? So look at how well your heavenly Father takes care of them, and remind yourself that He will take care of you too. If anxiety is robbing you of happiness during the day and sleep at night, make up your mind to live by this Scripture: ‘Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you’ (1 Peter 5:7 NLT).

Jeremiah 22-23, 1 Timothy 4

May the peace of Christ be with you all.

Christ is Life. John 3:16
WHAT NOW?

Go outside to a garden or park, and sit quietly watching or listening to the birds. As you watch and listen, hand over any worries you’ve got to God. Ask Him to replace them with His perfect peace.

Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

This verse emphasizes how we need to take our bibles very seriously. So that we don't fall for Satan's trickily disguised doctrines masquerading as Christian truths.
