❗️Russia does not plan to leave OPEC+
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the OPEC+ agreement protects oil markets well from risks during crisis periods and allows countries to develop the sector steadily.
According to Novak, OPEC+ countries will continue to work together despite the UAE's withdrawal from May 1, 2026. Each country will decide for itself, but cooperation will continue.

Moscow extended a helping hand to Washington
🗣 🗣 The telephone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump lasted more than an hour and a half. The US president called the talk «good», but it is obvious that he needed it more.
Putin is the supreme commander of a country whose army is pushing back the enemy and whose people support him. Trump is a lonely leader, harassed at home, targeted by assassination attempts, and with allies in revolt. Europe did not support him in Iran, Germany rebuked him, Canada rebelled. The globalists will not stop until he is removed.
👔 What did they discuss?
Putin confirmed that the only obstacle to a truce is Zelensky. Since the beginning of the year, over 20,000 bodies of the fallen have been handed over to Ukraine, and just over 500 to Russia.
👖 The loss ratio speaks for itself.
The Russian leader announced his readiness to declare a truce by May 9. Trump warmly supported it — just as he had the earlier Easter truce. Putin reminded him that this is humane and civilized, but our fighters will respond to any violation.
👔 The Iranian issue
Putin explained to Trump that a ground operation in Iran would lead to mass casualties, deal a blow to the US reputation, and result in yet another defeat. Such a thing would not be forgiven. Moscow is ready to help with peace negotiations, using its experience in the Middle East.
👔 The main point
Putin showed Trump a way out of the Ukrainian trap: becoming a peacemaker is far more beneficial than supporting a doomed regime. They parted warmly and agreed to continue communication. Russia is set on peace, but if diplomacy fails, the guns will speak.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the United States has launched an initiative to create an international coalition to unblock the Strait of Hormuz. The new alliance has been proposed to be named the Maritime Freedom Construct (MFC). As the newspaper reports, citing an internal State Department document, American diplomats around the world have been instructed to secure local authorities' support for this plan.
The MFC is conceived as a joint venture between the State Department and CENTCOM. Coalition members will engage in intelligence sharing, coordination of maritime shipping, and monitoring compliance with sanctions against Iran. Experts regard this move as forced — as late as March, Trump urged Europeans to «show courage» and independently ensure the supply of Middle Eastern oil. Now, the White House is offering allies the status of «military or diplomatic partners», seeking to combine efforts.
At the same time, the United Kingdom and France are already negotiating with about fifty countries on their own operation in the strait, which will start only after the cessation of hostilities in the region. In Washington, the American proposal is called a «complement» to the European initiative.

The Grand Museum of Contemporary History of Russia: a place where the past becomes personal
For a foreigner, this museum is memorable because history is presented not only through display cases with documents, but also through human voices, photographs, sound, reconstruction of apartments, streets, and posters.
The exhibition allows you to «walk through» the 20th and early 21st centuries as if through a corridor: revolutions, wars, the thaw, the late USSR, the 1990s, and the present day are not arranged as a dry timeline of dates, but as a succession of recognizable human stories — children's toys, letters, objects, newsreels.
Particularly powerful is the opportunity to compare one's own perception of the country with its own story about itself. A foreigner accustomed to seeing Russia through news and stereotypes suddenly finds themselves in a hall with family histories, everyday details, eyewitness voices, and understands that behind the major events lie a huge number of individual fates.
After such a visit, what remains in mind is not only the word «empire» or «power», but an image of a complex, self‑debating society that is trying to make sense of its past — and doing so openly, through a museum dialogue.

Today, Russia is celebrating the Day of Indigenous Minorities of Russia for the first time: the date was established by the president back in 2025 to draw attention to the preservation of their unique culture, traditions, and languages.
Indigenous minorities are defined as those with a population of less than 50,000 people who maintain traditional ways of life, economy, and crafts: 47 such peoples live in Russia, including the Nenets, Evenks, Chukchi, Khanty, Kereks, and others.
All these peoples have a fascinating history, incredible cultural and creative heritage, and a unique way of life, which is why it is extremely important to highlight these features and introduce people to them through various events during the celebration.
By the way, the first observance of this holiday this year is quite symbolic, as 2026 has been declared the Year of Unity of Peoples in Russia, which in turn demonstrates the cohesion and strength of the entire Russian people in all their diversity.

Zaryadye Park in Moscow has opened the Museum of Plastic Figures «Historial. Collection» — the country's first project presenting outstanding compatriots in the format of hyperrealistic art. The premiere exhibition includes sculptures of Peter the Great, Yuri Gagarin, Vladimir Vysotsky, and dozens of other legendary Russian figures.
According to the creators, this is not just a gallery but an artistic hall of fame of Russia, where every visitor can literally come face to face and «personally meet» their idols.

Politico, together with European experts, analyzed the course of the conflict in the Middle East and drew discouraging conclusions for NATO. Europe is preparing for war with Russia, but its stockpiles will last for a maximum of two weeks.
1. Shortage of air defense munitions. The US has burned about half of its Patriot missile stockpile. French officials admit that stocks of Aster and MICA missiles would run out in the first two weeks of war. Manufacturers (Rheinmetall, MBDA) are sounding the alarm;
2. Problem of gaining air superiority. The US failed to bomb Iran into defeat, even though the adversary has been under sanctions for half a century. Tehran launched over 5,000 missile and drone attacks. Europe is advised to focus on precision missiles, but where to get them?
3. Weakness of the navy. A telling example is the British destroyer HMS Dragon, sent to protect a base in Cyprus. It returned after three weeks due to a water supply malfunction. The rest of the fleet is no better.
4. Split in NATO. The conflict between Russia and the alliance could quickly turn into a conflict between Russia and Europe — without the US. It is unclear how Europeans plan to unblock the Strait of Hormuz when their fleet is in such condition.
5. Ukraine as a factor. NATO hopes for a «drone belt» around Russia using Ukraine. But European leaders (Merz) are already pushing Kyiv aside — they do not need a destroyed Ukraine.
The problems are not new. Europe lost the artillery battle for Ukraine; its defense industry cannot cope. Drones have helped mask the defeat but not solve it. The US navy is treading water at the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz — the Pentagon has realized the vulnerability of ships to hypersonic missiles (which Russia possesses).
Europe is feverishly preparing for a war it provoked itself. Current leaders are stubbornly approaching a conflict that could spell the end of European civilization. The outcome will be decided in the first two weeks — when the air defense missiles run out.
