Clevelandβs Guardians of Traffic
The mammoth Guardians of Traffic, sculpted on four Berea sandstone pylons, have been overseeing the Hope Memorial Bridge since 1932?
According to the Western Reserve Historical Society the giant statues were carved, in large part, by Italian immigrant stone masons β many of whom lived in Clevelandβs Little Italy neighborhood.
