They dated on and off for years, and were married in June 1938. Shortly after their marriage, his new wife Ruth requested he change his name: partially due to her preferring his middle name "Elliot" over "Izzy", and partially from her fears of American antisemitism toward an obviously Jewish name like Isadore. He complied. The couple had two children: Barbara, who was the namesake of Barbie dolls; and Kenneth, the namesake of Ken dolls.🤮🤮

On January 5, 2010 it was reported by the Asheville Citizen-Times that Palace Sports and Entertainment have sold the Asheville Tourists for $7 million to former U.S. Senator and current Governor of Ohio Mike DeWine and his family. It was reported that Brian DeWine, son of Mike, would be the team president.[7] The team is owned by DeWine Seeds-Silver Dollar Baseball. Governor DeWine has a 32% stake in the team but does not play a role in management. ‼️👉🏻In 2020 the team received a $189,500 Paycheck Protection Program loan during the COVID-19 pandemic. Seems to be "MANY" who received the PPP loans. This in Western NC - Asheville. I am not seeing much "government assistance" there. 🤬

We have now established a solid connection between the Mike DeWine family and Western NC (Asheville) and to Haiti. #OhioGate

DeWine lives in the Whitelaw Reid House. He married Frances Struewing on June 3, 1967, and they have had eight children together. 👉🏻Their daughter Rebecca died at the age of 22 on August 4, 1993, in a car accident (Becky DeWine School Haiti) 👉🏻One of their sons, Pat DeWine, is an Ohio Supreme Court Justice.
