It seems that there are definitely some conflicts of interest happening in Springfield - and have most likely been happening for a long time. This is most likely a microcosm of the macrocosm across the US and the world. This story seems to have it all - a Mayor who owns a funeral home, rental properties,sits on commissions that make decisions that impact his (and most likely many) bottom lines including the Chamber that works with the state employment assistance agency - Jobs Ohio. Then there is a local tycoon that actually transports immigrants in, is another slum lord, and has an employment agency. I think this story is going to continue to get deeper. Keep digging!
